Below, we highlight the best of the best when it comes to experiencing PRG South through our newly acquired Lodge at Trevelin and the unique Tres Valles.

Trevelin is PRG’s signature experience. Set in the wildest, most remote region of all the PRG lodges, you’ll access the best fly fishing Patagonia offers in private waters.

Centrally located near Trevelin, Chubut, PRG recently took over operations of this lodge. PRG’s Rance Rathie and Travis Smith have a hand in every detail, ensuring not only elite fishing opportunities but also the most luxurious and friendly stay in the lodge.

From Trevelin, you can access Los Alerces National Park, the Valdivian Rainforest, the eastern slopes of the Andes Mountains, and the Patagonian Steppe. The creeks are perfect for wading, and float trips are also available. Prepare to catch large rainbows, browns, and brookies. Anglers will have the opportunity to visit different fisheries every day, always fishing alongside a guide and an assistant guide, ensuring success on the water.

Float trips will take anglers to the Rivadavia, Frey, Arrayanes, Corcovado, Río Grande, and several lakes. Wading trips will be on the Arroyo Pescado, Gualjaina, Comisario, Corcovado, Corintos, Tecka, and Percy.

The lodge epitomizes PRG’s signature “luxury” feel, accommodating up to 10 people with amenities continuously upgraded over the last decade to meet the unique needs of its guests. Extra touches include fine and authentic dining experiences, the comfiest linens available in Argentina, a whiskey and cigar bar with pool tables, a large outdoor fireplace, a full-service spa, and a 10-acre vineyard producing its own wine for the tasting bar on the terrace.

Trevelin is located near town….. You are guaranteed to return home rejuvenated. The Lodge at Trevelin without question offers the amazing views, sporty fishing, and the friendliest management. It is the trip every angler dreams of and more when they picture fishing in Patagonia.

Tres Valles is a 5-star remote lodging “rustic luxury” experience located about two hours south of Esquel Airport on a large estancia in the Río Pico Valley. The lodge is upscale and cozy, accommodating up to eight to ten guests and providing opportunities for relaxation and quiet, as well as spaces for gathering and camaraderie.

Anglers visiting Tres Valles can expect some of South America’s best lakes. Elsewhere, lake fishing may not pique your interest as a fly fisher who expects the pure and natural experience of drifting your fly through moving waters. But Patagonia is not your typical fishing destination. The Tres Valles estancia offers access to the Río Las Pampas, Lago Vilches, and Arroyo Negro. We will certainly hit rivers and creeks, but this trip will also surprise you with its one-of-a-kind stillwater fishing. You will catch rainbows, browns, and some of the largest brook trout in the world, averaging 14-22 inches in lakes and creeks and up to 30 inches in lakes. Big dry flies for large rising brown trout

Tres Valles is the perfect trip for the angler excited to stay on their toes and employ their diverse skills to find success on varying water types. Just like with any PRG trip, we will match you with a guide and assistant guide each day to tackle these world-class and mostly privately accessed fisheries. Come ready to hike if you are hoping to reach the most off-the-beaten-path spots. Because Tres Valles offers such diverse angling opportunities, we will communicate about your fishing goals and desires and ensure we bring them to life.

The Tres Valles Lodgeoffers non-angling experiences too, including horseback riding, bird watching, and hiking. However guest should expect an angling focused adventure at this location. Hang out at the lodge during the day or evening, and you will have no shortage of breathtaking scenic views and meticulously designed, comfortable spaces for lounging or making memories with your crew. Tres Valles is your dream destination for a combination of intimate adventures in nature by day and relaxing, beautiful lodging by night.
