Six Rivers, One Lodge, &
A Week You Won’t Forget
Explore A Week at The Lodge at Trevelin
Welcome to Trevelin.
Some trips feel like they were made just for you. The rhythm. The pace. The water. When you fish out of PRG’s signature lodge, The Lodge at Trevelin, every detail, every river, every transfer, and every home-cooked meal comes together to create a week that just flows.
One lodge. Six different rivers. A new adventure every day.
Arrival: Touch Down in Patagonia
From the moment your plane touches down in Esquel, the pace shifts. There’s no rush, no waiting, just a warm welcome and a short scenic drive to the lodge. Within 30 minutes, you’ll find yourself inside the Lodge at Tevelin, leaving travel worries behind and stepping into a different world. All that’s left is time to cast a line, savor a meal, relax in comfort, and soak in the endless Patagonian landscape.

Sunday: Rio Grande
There’s no better way to start a week in Patagonia than on the Rio Grande. This is home water for the Trevelin Lodge, and it feels like it. Wide and varied, with deep pools, long riffles, and perfect dry fly flats, the Grande delivers action from your first cast.
Trout here love terrestrials. Hopper eats are common. So are 20-fish days.
It’s not just the numbers, it’s the vibe. Big water, blue skies, and a guide who already knows the river like the back of their hand.
Monday: Rio Corintos
After a full day floating, today is about walking light and moving slow. The Corintos is made for wade fishing in crystal-clear water with trout tucked in along grassy banks.
This is a day for dry flies and subtle takes, for feeling the ground under your boots and spotting fish before they spot you. The river’s rhythm slows here, inviting you to move quietly, cast carefully, and soak in the stunning scenery all around.

Tuesday: Rio Rivadavia
If there’s a crown jewel of Argentine trout water, it’s the Rivadavia.
Gin-clear and intensely beautiful, the “Riva” winds through beech forests and fallen logs, offering sight fishing that’s as technical as it is rewarding. Rainbows, browns, brookies and even landlocked salmon call this river home.
This is the river that stays with you. The one you talk about when you get home, and the one you come back for.
Wednesday: Arroyo Pescado
A shift in scenery. Today you head east, out onto the steppe.
The Arroyo Pescado is a private spring creek. It’s one of the best in the world, and it fishes like a dream. Shallow, clear, and full of spooky but willing fish, it rewards the patient angler with eats you can see coming.
This is the place for bird lovers, too. Flamingos, swans, rheas, condors. It’s wild Patagonia on full display.

Thursday: Rio Corcovado
Back to the big water. The Corcovado flows strong and steady from Lago Vinter and offers everything from whitewater riffles to classic dry fly pools.
The Corcovado is home to some of Patagonia’s strongest browns and broad, powerful currents. There’s a fierce spirit here. Something wild and electric that gets your blood flowing and your instincts sharp.
Friday: Rio Gualjaina
Your final day on the water brings a peaceful pace and quiet focus. The Rio Gualjaina, also known as the Rio Tecka, offers miles of pristine wade fishing through untouched landscapes. Here, it’s about reading the water, making delicate presentations, and moving quietly along the riverbank beneath wide open skies.
As you fish, the rhythm of the river settles into you, weaving the week’s memories into a calm, reflective close. It’s the perfect way to end a week in Patagonia. Steady, serene, and full of quiet moments.

Saturday: Departure
Over breakfast, you savor one last glimpse of the Andes before the short drive back to Esquel Airport.
It’s not easy to leave. But somehow, knowing that the guides, the lodge, and the rivers will be here next year makes it better.
Home Base: The Lodge at Trevelin
